Physical Description

Standing around 5'10'' tall; Kendari typically have dark hair colors such as black and brown, light to dark tan skin, and their eyes range in color between shades of red and blue (and rarely purple). Their culture espouses the importance of scars on one's body, believing it showed the individual's history and how much they've experienced.

Personality

Natural jingoists who believe in the rule of the strong, the Kendari are incredibly passionate for their society and any country they're aligned with. They often train themselves for battle, their belief being that battle is what not only cultures an individual but also allows them to serve their lords on the frontlines. Kendari rarely form attachments to others who aren't fellow Kendari or other citizens of the country they live in.

History

Kendari were once a human culture who followed and worshipped the Godking of Corruption, Banadar. These human followers ended up joining Banadar in travelling to a new home for their religion - Corta Diez, a planet in the far reaches of the galaxy which is hard to access and which could be shaped by their Godking to whatever he sees fit. This led to the planet being infused with corrupted magic, becoming a hotbed for the magical energies which became like a form of magical radiation - being absorbed into the very beings of the humans which chose to reside there and as years went on they begun to transform and mutate. Their blood oozed corruption when outside of the body, they became resistant to the corrupted energy natural to the planet.

Thus, Kendari were truly born as their own subspecies of human. Unlike humans however, Kendari are rarely seen outside of their home planet of Corta Diez, not wishing to venture out without having explicit reasons to do so. The rare few that venture out are often part of the organization known as the "Corrupted Knights", personal servants to Banadar who carry out missions in his name. This includes interfering in the affairs of other deities' churches, and razing their temples.

Biological Details

Kendari are considered young between 7 years old and 15 years old, are considered adults between 16 years old and 549 years old, and are considered old between 550 and 1,000 years old. They have a maximum lifespan of around (1,000 + 3d100) years.

Kendari have enhanced vision, and thus are only able to see up to 3 squares in the dark unaided, and can see twice as far as normal in dim light.

Names

Kendarin names follow their language's convention, including some pronunciations being completely altered - "ch" is only ever a "k" sound, as is just "c" on its own. Thus a name like Charlie would be become pronounced "Karlie" instead. Sometimes human names are used by Kendari (being human themselves, many human names have survived to this very day, even with alterations). Listed below will be native Kendarin names, however just know you can use Human names as well.

Last names often end in the "-ach" ending, and are usually the father's name with the ending attached. For example, a father's name is Lakar - the son's last name becomes Lakarach. If the father's name is unknown, the mother's name is used. If neither name is known, they're often referred to as "Nendar" - meaning orphan in Kendarin.
